Summer Camp For Kids

SUMMER CAMP with study German language in Heidelberg, Germany 

Registration  fee  (for  the  first  course):   €35 (including  learning  materials)

Package: language course + accommodation + lunch + activities                                                               € 650         € 595

Description of the Program:

Language course: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:15, 20 teaching hours at 45 minutes.

Lunch in school: Monday – Friday; 12:30-13:30.

Leisure activities: Monday – Saturday; 13:30-17:00.

Parental consent is mandatory for this program.

General Information on Individual Modules

Course structure

Learners in the German courses are grouped by age: 6-9, 10-13 and 14 to 17 years.

Complete beginners can start on 02.07. or on 06.08; learners with previous knowledge of the language can join the programme every Monday.

Courses are offered from levels A1 to B2.

Learners aged 14 or older can also join a C1 course. It is possible to join the course on any Monday between 6 and 27 August.

 A special pre-course placement test can be taken in the school.

 The programme finishes on 31.08. Certificate test.

Lesson structure and content are appropriate for the respective age group. Learners on all courses are taught by experienced, qualified language teachers in modern, bright classrooms.

Cultural programme

Our leisure programme is a vibrant mix of sporting and cultural activities.

Examples include: 

Neckar boat trip; orientation tour of Heidelberg; trips to Heidelberg Zoo, the botanical gardens, the Fairytale Paradise on Königstuhl, Heidelberg Castle, the Museum of the Palatinate Heidelberg; sports activities, a picnic on the banks of the Neckar, games and sports in the  Campus sports hall; mini golf; group games evenings and cookery; swimming in Heidelberg’s open air pool; hiking on the Heiligenberg; visit to the Tinnunculus falconry; visit to Thingstätte and much more. We also organise university tours for young people.

Included: Supervision, admission tickets and transport related to the activity;  

Not included: Meals during trips.

Lunch

Lunch for course participants is provided by a professional caterer, who specialises in catering for nurseries and schools. The cook strictly complies with current standards regarding hygiene, sustainability and verified origin of ingredients. Please notify us when registering of any food allergy/intolerance or special dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian or halal meals).

Accommodation

Young people from the age of 12 can stay with one of our carefully selected host families, subject to availability. In the interests of welfare and responsibility we only accept bookings that include lunch and the leisure programme, unless the legal guardian provides specific, written permission to the contrary. Accommodation is half board (full board at weekends) with the host family .

Public transport costs are not included in the price (weekly tickets for Heidelberg city:

 approx. €25; monthly ticket: approx. €70).

We offer a variety of accommodation to parents or other adults accompanying children and/or young people, even without the additional booking of a language course. Options include halls of residence and apartments.
